Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking SPED ECSE (Early Childhood Special Education) Teacher for an exciting job in Sterling, VA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct ECSE instruction to preschool-aged students across disability categories

  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with IDEA and state regulations

  • Design play-based and structured learning activities supporting early academic, communication, social-emotional, motor, and self-help skills

  • Provide instruction in individual, small-group, and inclusive preschool settings

  • Collect and document data to track progress toward IEP goals

  • Collaborate with preschool staff, related service providers, and multidisciplinary teams

  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and eligibility meetings

  • Implement positive behavior supports and age-appropriate classroom management strategies

  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records

  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and support strategies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education or Special Education

  • Active or eligible Virginia ECSE teaching license or appropriate endorsement

  • Experience working with young children with disabilities

  • Strong knowledge of early childhood development, IDEA, and IEP processes

  • Ability to deliver differentiated, developmentally appropriate instruction

  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior ECSE teaching experience in school-based or early childhood settings

  • Experience supporting children with developmental delays, ASD, or speech/language needs

  • Familiarity with inclusive preschool models and collaborative teaching

  • Experience with data-driven and play-based instructional approaches
