Position Summary

We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based assignment in an elementary school setting. The SLP will provide speech and language services to a student population in collaboration with school staff and another on-site SLP. This position is open to Clinical Fellows (CFs), with supervision provided by the school.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide speech-language evaluations, therapy, and progress monitoring for elementary school students

  • Manage and maintain a caseload of approximately 40 students, shared with another Speech Language Pathologist

  • Develop, implement, and document Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines

  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and parents to support student success

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services, evaluations, and progress notes

  • Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and school-based planning activities

  • Adhere to school district policies, ethical standards, and professional best practices


Required Qualifications

  • Active South Carolina Speech Language Pathologist license

  • Eligibility to work in a school-based setting

  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • School-based SLP experience

  • Experience working with elementary-aged students

  • Familiarity with IEP development and special education services


Clinical Fellowship (CF) Information

  • Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply

  • Supervision and mentorship will be provided by the school

  • CF requirements will be supported in accordance with state and ASHA guidelines
