Location: Brooklyn, NY 11235
Assignment Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Pay Rate: $64 – $68 per hour

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced critical care environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, technical proficiency, and the ability to work effectively during overnight shifts.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of Critical Care (ICU) experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Conscious Sedation

  • Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience

Education Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited nursing program

Certifications & Licensure

  • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License

  • Primary Source Verification of RN license and registration through NYS Department of Education (NYSED)

  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU

  • Continuously assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, including vital signs and cardiac rhythms

  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols

  • Perform and assist with conscious sedation, ensuring patient safety and compliance with standards of care

  • Initiate and maintain IV lines; perform phlebotomy as required

  • Operate and troubleshoot critical care equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized care plans

  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and participate in rapid response and code situations

  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and ongoing care when appropriate

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)

  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
