Pay Rate: $24/hour
Location: Defiance, OH 43512
Duration: 7+ Weeks (with possible extension)
Monday & Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Wednesday & Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Medical Assistant to support both front-office and back-office operations in a clinical setting. This role involves direct patient interaction, administrative support, and clinical duties, requiring a strong commitment to teamwork, patient care, and health education.
Greet, room, and assist patients during clinic visits
Schedule appointments and answer incoming phone calls
Measure and record vital signs
Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures
Administer vaccines and assist with injections as directed
Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
Support both front-office and back-office workflows as needed
Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient visits
Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative staff to support daily operations
Provide patient education and support as appropriate
Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
Occupational Health experience strongly preferred
Proven experience with phlebotomy/venipuncture
Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
Basic computer proficiency
Front-office and back-office clinical experience
Phlebotomy and specimen collection
EKG administration
Point-of-care (POC) testing
Patient scheduling and coordination
Patient rooming and vital sign collection
BLS or CPR certification (required)
