Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Medical Surgical
Location: Rochester, NY
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: Up to $32.00/hour
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours)
Weekends: Every other weekend required (no block scheduling)
Orientation: 16 hours (non-billable)
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support a high-volume Medical Surgical unit within a large acute-care hospital setting in Rochester, New York. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, tertiary-care environment while managing individual patient assignments with collaborative RN support.
Patient Care: Provide direct bedside care and manage assigned patients within the MedSurg unit
Clinical Duties: Administer medications, perform wound care, and assist with activities of daily living in accordance with scope of practice
Documentation: Accurately document patient care using Epic electronic medical records
Team Collaboration: Work closely with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes
Education: Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
Licensure: Active New York State LPN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent hospital-based MedSurg experience
Systems: Epic charting experience strongly preferred
Skills: Strong clinical judgment, independence in practice, and excellent teamwork skills
