• 5×8-hour shifts

• Hours: 2:00 AM – 10:30 AM

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to support laboratory operations in a high-acuity healthcare environment. This role requires strong venipuncture skills, experience working in trauma settings, and the ability to float across qualified units as needed based on census demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection on patients across various acuity levels

• Accurately label, process, and transport specimens according to laboratory protocols

• Utilize electronic medical records for order verification and documentation

• Maintain infection control, patient safety, and specimen integrity standards

• Provide professional patient interaction, including with critically ill or trauma patients

• Float to other qualified laboratory units or campuses as required based on operational needs

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Prior Level 1 Trauma facility experience (required)

• Recent travel experience required (no first-time travelers)

• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience

• Active BLS certification

Required Certification

One of the following phlebotomy certifications is required:

• NPS

• ASCP

• AMT

• ASPT

• NHA

• ACA

• NCCT

• NPCE

• NPA

• NAPT

• NHCO
