Job Title: Transportation Dispatcher 
Location: Springdale, AR
Duration: 3 months
Work Type: 100% Onsite

Shift Schedule:

  • Primary Shift: Sunset Shift – Wednesday to Friday, every other Saturday, 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM

  • Training Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (for at least 3 weeks)


Position Summary:

The Transportation Dispatcher is responsible for managing relationships between carriers, customers, and sales teams for assigned accounts. This role requires in-depth knowledge of customer operations, product needs, and internal processes to deliver high-quality service. The CSA partners closely with Sales and Operations teams to ensure prompt issue resolution and optimal customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the internal Supply Chain team and assigned external customers.

  • Manage all aspects of customer relationships, including analyzing incoming emails and determining prompt resolutions.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders.

  • Utilize multiple dispatch systems (e.g., TES, LME, FourKites, OTR) and external scheduling systems (e.g., Retailix, Retail Link, UNFI, One Network) to troubleshoot and resolve issues across business units.

  • Maintain knowledge of internal policies, procedures, and software applications.

  • Maintain knowledge of external customers’ organizational structures, procedures, and relevant operational details.

  • Identify cost-effective solutions to meet both internal and customer needs.

  • Implement creative solutions to resolve delivery issues and positively represent the organization.

  • Ensure accurate delivery of products to external customers.

  • Maintain professional communication and documentation standards.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in customer service or transportation/logistics.

Experience:

  • Customer service experience beyond a call center environment required.

  • Dispatch experience in transportation/logistics is a plus.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications required.

  • Majority of business conducted via email (up to and possibly exceeding 300 emails per day).

Communication & Professional Skills:

  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Conflict management and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Positive attitude and customer-focused mindset.
