Job Title: LVN / LPN – Medical Surgical (GI Overflow Unit)
Job Location: Rochester, NY 14626
Unit: GI Overflow – Med/Surg Tele
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift – 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (EOW)
Compensation: Gross Weekly: $1,321
The LVN/LPN will provide direct patient care in a Medical-Surgical GI Overflow Telemetry unit. This role involves monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, assisting with treatments, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a GI overflow and telemetry setting.
Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams in patient care planning.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system.
Support patient education and discharge planning.
Adhere to facility policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum of 1 year of Medical-Surgical experience.
Active LVN/LPN license (pending licenses not accepted).
BLS certification required.
EPIC electronic medical record experience required.
Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
First-time travelers accepted.
