  • Pay Rate: $23.00/hour (W2)


Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and organized Healthcare Clerical Assistant to support daily administrative operations within a healthcare environment. This role requires strong clerical skills, professionalism, and the ability to interact effectively with patients, clinical staff, and administrative teams. Candidates must have recent healthcare experience, with at least 6 months on a healthcare-related project.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general clerical duties including filing, data entry, reception, and meeting scheduling

  • Type and prepare correspondence, reports, and other documents

  • Index records and maintain accurate, well-organized filing systems

  • Operate office equipment such as computers, fax machines, and photocopiers

  • Maintain accurate data entry with a typing speed of 50 keystrokes per minute

  • Serve as a liaison between patients, nurses, physicians, and administrative staff

  • Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor

  • Support daily office operations in a fast-paced healthcare setting


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant clerical or administrative experience

  • Recent healthcare experience required (at least 6 months)

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities

  • Ability to interact with patients throughout the workday in a professional manner


Education

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)

  • Prior medical office experience and familiarity with medical terminology preferred
