Position Summary

The X-Ray Technologist provides diagnostic imaging services to patients across all age groups in an acute care, outpatient, and specialty care setting. The technologist performs standard and advanced radiographic procedures, including bedside and portable imaging, following established protocols and safety standards. This role requires proficiency in multiple imaging techniques, patient care, and equipment operation.


Patient Population

  • Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform standard and specialized radiographic procedures including:

    • Chest, abdomen, spine, pelvis, extremities, facial bones, skull, upper airway

    • Trauma imaging for upper and lower extremities

    • Portable imaging (bedside chest and abdomen)

  • Follow infection prevention and isolation protocols

  • Ensure radiation safety standards are maintained

  • Operate imaging equipment including Siemens systems, PACS, and Client platforms

  • Document all procedures accurately in EPIC (minimum 1 year experience required)

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and radiology staff for optimal imaging outcomes

  • Assist in patient positioning, education, and safety throughout imaging procedures


Required Qualifications

  • ARRT (Radiography) certification

  • Current South Carolina X-Ray license

  • BLS certification

  • Minimum of 1 year EPIC documentation experience

  • Experience with adult and pediatric acute care and outpatient imaging

  • Experience performing bedside/portable procedures, ER imaging, ICU imaging, and PICU imaging

  • Strong understanding of radiation safety and infection control


Preferred Qualifications

  • First-time travel X-Ray technologists are accepted

  • Experience across a wide range of imaging modalities and patient populations


Equipment & Systems

  • Siemens X-Ray equipment

  • PACS and imaging software platforms

  • EPIC documentation system

  • Omnicell medication system (if applicable)
