Shift Type: Day Shift
Schedule: 5 × 8-hour shifts per week
Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Days: Monday through Friday
Assignment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
The Physical Therapist provides evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services to patients in an acute care and/or rehabilitation hospital setting. The PT is responsible for implementing individualized care plans, assisting with patient mobility and transfers, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient functional outcomes.
Assess patient physical abilities, limitations, and rehabilitation needs
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient diagnosis and goals
Perform therapeutic interventions including mobility training, strengthening, balance, and range-of-motion exercises
Assist patients with safe lifting, transfers, and functional mobility
Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly
Document evaluations, treatments, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to optimize patient care
Maintain patient safety, infection control, and compliance with hospital protocols
Provide patient and family education regarding rehabilitation techniques
Minimum of 1 year of acute care or hospital-based physical therapy experience
Strong skills in patient lifting, transfers, and mobility assistance
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced acute care or rehabilitation environment
First-time travelers accepted
Prior experience in a rehabilitation hospital or specialty rehab unit
Experience with interdisciplinary acute care teams
