Job Title: Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant 

Location: Huntington, IN 46750

Shift Schedule:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Assignment Duration: 10+ Weeks (with possible extension)

Pay Rate: $24.00/hour


Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant to support both front- and back-office operations in a clinical setting. This role involves direct patient interaction, clinical support, and administrative responsibilities. Success in this position requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to provide excellent patient care in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Greet, room, and prepare patients for examinations

  • Schedule appointments and manage phone inquiries

  • Take and record vital signs

  • Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture

  • Administer vaccines and assist with point-of-care testing

  • Perform EKGs as required

  • Support providers with clinical and administrative tasks

  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system

  • Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externships)

  • Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required

  • Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems

  • Strong attention to detail and effective patient communication skills

  • Proficiency with basic computer applications


Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant Certification 

  • Phlebotomist Certification

  • Experience in Occupational Health settings


Must-Have Skills

  • Front- and back-office experience

  • Phlebotomy

  • EKG

  • Point-of-care (POC) testing

  • Scheduling and patient intake

  • Rooming patients and taking vitals

  • BLS or CPR certification
