The IT Project Coordinator / Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing internal information systems projects from initiation through successful delivery. This role supports IT initiatives such as infrastructure upgrades, application deployments, hardware rollouts, and process improvement efforts, working closely with cross-functional technical and business teams.
Projects are typically limited in scope and complexity, and the role operates under the guidance of a senior project or program manager.
Plan, coordinate, and execute IT projects from initiation through completion
Gather and define project requirements; perform feasibility and impact assessments
Develop detailed project plans including timelines, milestones, and dependencies
Coordinate cross-functional efforts between IT teams, internal stakeholders, and business partners
Manage day-to-day implementation activities including:
Resource allocation and task assignments
Progress tracking and status reporting
Risk and issue identification, escalation, and mitigation
Change control management
Support testing, documentation, training, and deployment activities
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within established budget constraints
Maintain project documentation and reporting artifacts
Facilitate meetings, status reviews, and stakeholder communications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent professional experience
Project management certifications preferred (e.g., PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2, ITIL, Agile/Scrum)
Experience managing IT projects, system implementations, deployments, or technology rollouts
Familiarity with infrastructure, application, or enterprise systems projects
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management and organizational abilities
Effective meeting facilitation and stakeholder coordination
Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a structured project environment
