We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Medical-Surgical unit in a large acute-care hospital environment. The LPN will be responsible for managing an assigned patient load while working collaboratively with a Registered Nurse to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
Provide direct patient care within LPN scope of practice under RN supervision
Independently manage a patient assignment with RN support as required
Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist with patient assessments
Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes to the RN or provider
Document care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
Follow hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety protocols
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Support unit operations and contribute to a team-based care environment
Shift: 3x12 Night Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Active New York State LPN license (must be in hand)
Recent hospital experience within the last 2 years
Ability to carry an independent patient assignment with RN oversight
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance
