Job Title: HRIS Specialist

Location: San Bernardino, CA
Duration: 6-Month Contract

Position Overview

"Navitas Partners, LLC" is seeking HRIS Specialist for an exciting job in San Bernardino, CA.

Key Responsibilities

HRIS System Administration & Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HR system issues, enhancements, and end-user support

  • Manage daily operations of HRIS platforms including PeopleSoft/CHRS and Learning Management Systems (e.g., CSULearn, SumTotal, LinkedIn Learning, Vector Solutions)

  • Ensure system security, role permissions, and data integrity

  • Oversee system testing, upgrades, integrations, and troubleshooting activities

  • Conduct audits and manage performance and evaluation programs

  • Develop and deliver user training materials and system documentation

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend workflow improvements

  • Lead the transition of HR forms and workflows using digital tools (e.g., AdobeSign, Smartsheet, OnBase)

  • Collaborate with HR and IT teams to integrate tools and streamline document management

  • Measure the effectiveness of automation initiatives and recommend enhancements

Data Management, Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data extracts using HR reporting tools (e.g., PeopleSoft Query, SQL, Tableau, Smartsheet)

  • Perform data audits and ensure compliance with confidentiality and security requirements

  • Provide workforce insights related to retention, engagement, DEI, and workforce planning

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and maintain metrics for HR leadership

System Implementation & Project Management

  • Lead or support HRIS and third-party system implementations

  • Develop project plans, manage timelines and milestones, and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT)

  • Partner with IT and systemwide stakeholders on enterprise HR initiatives

Change Management, Communication & Training

  • Develop change management strategies to support adoption of new systems

  • Create communication plans, training guides, and knowledge-sharing sessions

  • Promote system best practices and build user confidence across HR stakeholders

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant HRIS or human resources systems experience

Substitutions:

  • Additional qualifying experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis

  • An advanced degree in a related field may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis

Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Working knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and applicable regulations

  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing HR standards, policies, and procedures

  • Strong project planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and develop actionable recommendations

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively advise and collaborate with managers, staff, and stakeholders
