Job Title: System Integration Engineer – Salesforce
Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid)
Contract Duration: 12 months
A public-sector–focused organization is seeking an experienced System Integration Engineer to lead Salesforce platform architecture and integration efforts in a hybrid work environment. This role is responsible for translating business strategies and capability requirements into scalable, secure, and reusable Salesforce solutions across multiple agencies.
The System Integration Engineer will define end-to-end solution architecture, ensure alignment with internal Center of Excellence (CoE) standards and guardrails, and provide technical leadership to delivery teams supporting case management, citizen engagement, and AI-driven analytics capabilities.
Define comprehensive architecture blueprints covering business processes, integrations, data models, security, and system components
Design multi-cloud Salesforce solutions aligned with agency needs and enterprise strategies
Leverage Salesforce technologies including Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, OmniStudio, Data Cloud, MuleSoft, Agentforce, and Tableau
Define system boundaries, architectural guardrails, integration patterns, data models, and environment strategies
Extend public-sector Salesforce solutions and data models to meet specific agency requirements
Architect reusable, multi-agency intake and engagement solutions using portals and omni-channel capabilities
Ensure agency use cases (e.g., licensing, investigations, child welfare) align with standardized Salesforce accelerators rather than custom silos
Design data flows and cross-agency analytics solutions
Provide technical leadership and guidance to solution delivery teams

7+ years of experience working on complex system integration projects, including 2+ years in a leadership role as a System Integration Engineer
7+ years of experience in Salesforce architecture and solution design
Minimum 3 years of experience using Salesforce Service Cloud and CRM
2+ years of experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and MuleSoft
2+ years of experience designing large-scale, multi-org or multi-tenant Salesforce solutions
Salesforce Certified Application Architect credential
1+ year of experience with Salesforce Shield, encryption, and platform security
1+ year of experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
