Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Implementation Specialist / VxRail HCI Administrator to support a federal customer through an onsite HCI residency engagement. The selected candidate will be responsible for the planning, deployment, administration, and operational support of Dell EMC VxRail Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) in a secure government environment.

This role requires hands-on experience with VxRail deployment, day-to-day administration, and collaboration with customer technical teams to ensure a successful implementation and operational transition.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform onsite planning, design, and deployment of Dell EMC VxRail HCI solutions
• Act as the resident VxRail subject matter expert (SME) during the engagement
• Install, configure, and validate VxRail clusters, including compute, storage, and networking components
• Provide day-to-day (D2D) VxRail administration and operational support
• Troubleshoot and resolve HCI, virtualization, storage, and OS-level issues
• Deliver limited training and knowledge transfer to customer administrators
• Collaborate with federal stakeholders, vendors, and support teams
• Ensure deployments align with federal security, compliance, and operational requirements
• Document configurations, procedures, and operational best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance (required)
• Strong hands-on experience with Dell EMC VxRail HCI
• Experience in HCI residency, implementation, and administration
• Solid understanding of VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter
• Linux administration skills (required)
• Experience supporting on-premise data center environments
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Quantico, VA
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting federal or DoD environments
• Familiarity with storage, networking, and virtualization best practices
• Experience providing customer training or knowledge transfer
• Exposure to security-hardened or classified systems
