Schedule & Shift

  • Shift: Day Shift & Night Shift

  • Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts 

  • Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM & 7:00 PM- 07:00 AM

  • Block Scheduling: Not available

  • Weekends: Every other weekend required

  • Holidays: Some holidays required

Position Overview

A pediatric acute care facility in Syracuse, NY is seeking experienced Pediatric ICU Registered Nurses for day-shift contract assignments. The RN will provide high-acuity critical care to pediatric patients and must be able to function independently with minimal orientation.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of recent PICU experience (within the past 2 years)

  • Experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center required

  • Travelers must have experience in hospitals of equal or greater size and acuity

  • Active New York State RN license

  • BLS certification required (must be current or eligible for recertification)

  • EPIC EMR experience preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required

Compliance Requirements

  • No history of professional license or certification suspension or investigation

  • No prior involvement as a defendant in a professional liability claim

  • Verification of legal authorization to work in the United States

  • Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance

  • Subject to drug screening and criminal background check

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a high-acuity pediatric ICU setting

  • Perform advanced patient care skills with minimal supervision

  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments appropriate for critical care patients

  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
