Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a highly skilled CT Technologist for a short-term contract assignment in Brooklyn, NY. This role offers a competitive hourly rate and a flexible, part-time schedule. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring strict adherence to radiation safety standards and departmental protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of dedicated CT experience.

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Current New York State Department of Health (NYS DOH) Radiologic Technologist License (L.R.T).

  • Current ARRT Certification in Radiography (R) and CT.

  • Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Key Responsibilities

Diagnostic Imaging

  • Perform CT examinations in accordance with established protocols to ensure accuracy and consistency.

  • Produce high-quality images for diagnostic interpretation.

Equipment & Quality Control

  • Conduct daily quality control checks and equipment calibrations prior to patient studies.

  • Ensure imaging equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Radiopharmaceutical Management

  • Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Receive and verify activity levels upon delivery.

  • Administer injections per physician orders and established safety protocols.

Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain compliance with radiation safety regulations and ALARA principles.

  • Perform required quality assurance and safety tests in accordance with regulatory standards.

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and charge records.

  • Retrieve, organize, and prepare electronic imaging data for radiologist interpretation.
