A healthcare facility in Syracuse, NY is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist – Vascular to support diagnostic imaging services. This role requires independent operation of sonographic equipment and strong clinical judgment to accurately perform and interpret vascular and diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
Graduate of an ultrasound program accredited by CHEA and/or the U.S. Department of Education (USDOE) with accreditation in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
RDMS certification in Abdominal and OB/GYN
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
Ability to successfully pass pre-employment health clearance
Independently operate sonographic equipment to perform diagnostic examinations
Perform and communicate results of ultrasound examinations to radiologists
Manage daily operations of the sonographic laboratory
Maintain patient schedules and perform daily equipment maintenance and quality assurance (QA)
Exercise independent judgment to differentiate between normal and pathological findings
Obtain relevant patient medical history prior to examinations
Communicate exam findings clearly and accurately to the interpreting physician
