Job Title: Heart & Vascular Sonographer
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (with potential for extension)
Pay Rate: $58 – $63 per hour ($2,320 – $2,520 per week)
Shift: Day Shift (Monday – Friday)
Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 40 hours
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a highly skilled Heart & Vascular Sonographer for a 13-week contract assignment in Cincinnati, OH. This role involves performing high-quality, non-invasive ultrasound examinations across echocardiography and vascular modalities. The ideal candidate will work in a collaborative, technology-driven clinical environment focused on excellence in patient care and diagnostic accuracy.
Imaging Services: Perform advanced transthoracic echocardiography (ECHO) and non-invasive vascular studies in accordance with established clinical protocols.
Patient Care: Obtain patient histories, explain procedures clearly, and ensure patient comfort throughout examinations.
Technical Accuracy: Review and verify exam orders for accuracy, recommend revisions when appropriate, and ensure complete documentation.
Workflow Coordination: Collaborate with clinical teams to accommodate urgent and add-on exams while maintaining efficient patient flow.
Quality Assurance: Participate in peer review processes, departmental quality initiatives, and equipment maintenance standards.
Professional Standards: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, manage supply inventory, and stay current with evolving imaging protocols and continuing education requirements.
Education & Experience
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Ultrasound program
Minimum of 2 years of echocardiography (ECHO) experience
Demonstrated proficiency in advanced transthoracic echocardiography and vascular imaging
Certifications (One Required)
RDCS (ARDMS)
RCS (CCI)
RVT (ARDMS)
RVS (CCI)
Additional Requirements
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Compliance with continuing education requirements (ICAVL/ICAE standards)
Strong understanding of DICOM standards, imaging systems, and electronic medical records (EMR)
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and hospital leadership
