RN – Pediatric Critical Care (Peds PACU)
Location: Syracuse, NY
Contract Duration: 18 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Pay Rates:
Local: $59.21/hour
Traveler: $68.00/hour
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Pediatric Critical Care Registered Nurse to provide high-quality pre- and post-operative care in a Pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric critical care, with PACU experience preferred. This role requires clinical excellence, critical thinking, and the ability to function independently in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Provide safe and effective pre- and post-operative nursing care for pediatric patients in the PACU
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and implement appropriate interventions for pediatric critical care patients
Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage patient recovery with minimal supervision
Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiology, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and all regulatory requirements
Required:
Active New York State RN License
BLS Certification (must be current or able to recertify)
Minimum 1.5 years of recent pediatric or acute care experience in a comparable hospital setting
Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills
Preferred:
Experience in a Level I Trauma Center
Prior Pediatric PACU experience
