Location: Hyannis, MA
Assignment: Travel Contract
Pay Rate: $2,156.50 per week
Schedule:
Day/Evening shifts, 40 hours/week
Rotating 8- or 10-hour shifts (9:00 AM–5:30 PM or 9:00 AM–7:30 PM)
No weekends or call on initial contract
Extended contracts may include minimal weekend and backup/overnight call
Surgical Technologist supporting a high-volume Acute Care Operating Room. Works under the supervision of surgeons and RNs, maintaining strict sterile technique and infection control while assisting in all phases of surgical procedures.
Perform scrub technologist duties for all services and specialties
Prepare OR with instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies per AORN standards and surgeon preference cards
Provide intraoperative assistance (instrument passing, retraction, suturing, counts)
Prepare and label medications on the sterile field as directed
Operate sterilization equipment and handle surgical specimens
Assist with patient transport, positioning, and OR room turnover
Support team operations and orientation of new staff as needed
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology / OR program (civilian or military)
Active national certification (NBSTSA or NCCA-accredited equivalent)
Current BLS certification
Orthopedic experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of instrumentation, sterile technique, and infection control
Effective English communication skills
