Position Title: Mammography Technologist
Location: Hackensack, NJ 07601
Job Type: Contract (Local or Travel)
Shift: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: $55–$60 per hour
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in a clinical setting. The technologist will play a critical role in the early detection and diagnosis of breast conditions while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and compliance with all regulatory standards.
Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
Prepare and position patients to ensure optimal image quality
Educate patients on procedures and address questions or concerns with professionalism and compassion
Operate, monitor, and maintain mammography imaging equipment
Adhere strictly to radiation safety guidelines for patients, staff, and self
Review images for quality, accuracy, and completeness prior to submission
Accurately document procedures and patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Maintain compliance with MQSA, state, federal, and facility regulations
Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment
Participate in quality assurance, quality control, and performance improvement initiatives
Perform additional related duties as assigned
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist
Experience performing screening and diagnostic mammography
Strong knowledge of breast anatomy, positioning techniques, and radiation safety
EMR documentation experience (EPIC preferred)
ARRT (R)(M) certification
Active New Jersey state licensure (if applicable)
BLS certification (AHA)
Experience in a hospital or dedicated breast imaging center
Experience with tomosynthesis (3D mammography)
