Job Title: PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

Schedule: Mixed 10-Hour Shifts | Rotating Weekends
Shift Details:
Mixed 10-hour shifts, including:
7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
9:00 AM – 7:30 PM
10:00 AM – 8:30 PM
On-Call Required – Candidates must reside within 30 minutes of the facility
Shift schedules and on-call expectations reviewed during the interview process
Compensation & Incentives:
Hourly Rate: $27.72 – $39.60 (based on experience)
Shift Differential: $2.50/hour after 3:00 PM
On-Call Pay: $4.00/hour
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis
Job Summary:
The PACU Registered Nurse provides critical post-operative care for surgical patients. This role focuses on advanced monitoring, airway management, pain control, and early detection of complications following anesthesia. The PACU RN collaborates with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient recovery in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide patient-centered post-anesthesia care using evidence-based practices
Monitor airway, neurological status, hemodynamics, and pain levels
Detect and respond promptly to post-operative complications or adverse reactions
Conduct initial wound assessments and post-surgical care interventions
Document patient condition, treatments, and clinical changes accurately
Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions
Collaborate with anesthesia, surgical, and ancillary teams for safe patient transitions
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary rounds
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of recent acute care PACU RN experience
Critical Care experience strongly preferred
Active Florida RN license (or Compact RN license with FL license obtained within 60 days)
BLS required
ACLS required
PALS required
RN Diploma or Associate Degree required (BSN preferred)
