Position Title: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Shift: Day (5×8-hour shifts)
Pay Range: $35–$40/hr (Local) | $40–$45/hr (Travel)
Position Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. This role focuses on medically complex patients in an acute care hospital setting, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to enhance patient safety, communication, and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations
Diagnose and treat dysphagia and other communication disorders
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs
Provide therapy to medically complex patients in an acute care environment
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and safe swallowing strategies
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
Dysphagia training required
Acute care experience preferred (2+ years recommended due to high patient acuity)
Valid New York State Speech Language Pathologist license (NYSED)
Primary Source Verification of licensure required
BLS certification preferred
