Shift: Day | 3x11.5-hour shifts
Pay Range: Local: $66–$72/hr | Travel: $75–$82/hr
Position Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care to women during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. The RN will support mothers and newborns using safe, evidence-based clinical practices while collaborating closely with obstetric providers and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal maternal and neonatal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care throughout labor, delivery, and recovery
Perform continuous maternal and fetal assessments, responding promptly to changes
Monitor fetal heart tracings and uterine activity
Administer medications, IV therapies, and conscious sedation per protocol
Assist physicians and midwives during vaginal and operative deliveries
Educate and support patients and families emotionally and clinically
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
Follow hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum 2 years in Maternal & Child / Labor & Delivery nursing
Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience
Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program
Licensure & Certifications:
Active New York State RN license (primary source verified via NYSED)
AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
