Job Title: School Social Worker (Contract)
Location: Gurnee, IL 60031
Contract Duration: 12 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday
Hours: 7.5 hours per day (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
Compensation: $40–$50 per hour
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a qualified School Social Worker for a temporary contract assignment providing coverage at an intermediate school in Gurnee, Illinois. This role offers a consistent weekday schedule within a structured educational environment and is ideal for professionals experienced in school-based social work.
Provide comprehensive social work services to students in an intermediate school setting
Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development
Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success
Participate in student support meetings and intervention planning as needed
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school district and state regulations
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement
Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team
