Must be able to float to a secondary office location (Hackensack, NJ) to cover planned/unplanned PTO or assist during high-volume days

The Radiologic Technologist I performs diagnostic radiographic examinations at a technical level that does not require constant supervision. This role is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with departmental and regulatory standards.
Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients, selecting appropriate technical factors, and operating imaging equipment for required procedures.
Utilize immobilization devices as needed and adjust techniques based on individual patient needs.
Restrict radiation exposure using proper collimation and cone techniques to protect unaffected body areas.
Perform portable radiographic examinations in patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency settings.
Accurately identify and label images with patient information, exam details, and anatomical markers.
Process exposed x-ray films using available processing methods.
Complete patient requisitions with required documentation including initials, date, film size, and exam details.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the x-ray room per departmental standards.
Prepare radiopaque contrast media and assist physicians with administration as needed.
Perform administrative duties including scheduling, patient instruction, record maintenance, film filing, and reception tasks.
Assist patients with mobility needs, including positioning, transfers, and table access.
Meet physical requirements including standing for extended periods and lifting, pushing, or pulling equipment as required.
Adapt care delivery to meet the diverse needs of the patient population, including age, culture, language, and physical or sensory limitations.
Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and staff at an appropriate developmental and educational level.
Adhere to organizational competencies, departmental policies, and safety standards.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
Completion of required clinical and ARRT educational requirements
Active New Jersey State Radiologic Technologist License (required)
Eligible for and able to pass the ARRT National Registry Examination
Prior experience in an orthopedic office setting
Bilingual in Spanish (preferred, not required)
