Position Overview
We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time contract assignment in a rehabilitation/skilled nursing setting. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence in daily living activities and improve functional performance.
Assist in implementing individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
Provide therapeutic activities to improve strength, coordination, mobility, and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Monitor patient response to treatment and report progress or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist
Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and safety practices
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient-centered care
Ensure compliance with facility policies, professional standards, and state regulations
Day shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
30-minute meal break
Consistent full-time schedule with guaranteed hours
Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the practicing state
Associate degree from an accredited COTA program
Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care settings preferred
Strong communication, documentation, and patient-care skills
