Location: Parkersburg, WV 26101
Position Type: Contract
Contract Duration: 8 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $50.00 – $64.00/hour

  • Weekly Pay: $1,875 – $2,400 (based on 40 hours)

Schedule & Hours

  • Shift Time: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

  • Hours per Day: 8.5 hours

  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

  • Meal Break: 30-minute unpaid lunch

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) for an 8-week contract assignment in Parkersburg, WV. This role provides overall clinical leadership and operational oversight of nursing services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care in compliance with state and federal regulations.

The ideal candidate is a confident nursing leader with strong clinical expertise, proven staff management experience, and in-depth knowledge of long-term care regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia or Compact License

  • Prior experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) required

  • Strong background in long-term care or skilled nursing facility (SNF) settings

  • Thorough knowledge of CMS, state, and federal regulations

  • Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage clinical operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment

  • BLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee all nursing operations and clinical services

  • Ensure compliance with CMS, state, and federal regulatory requirements

  • Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies and standards of care

  • Monitor quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives

  • Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and ancillary services

  • Support staffing, scheduling, and staff development activities

  • Ensure accurate clinical documentation and adherence to best practices

  • Address clinical issues, risk management, and resident safety concerns

  • Serve as a clinical resource to nursing leadership and frontline staff

  • Maintain survey readiness and support regulatory survey processes
