Schedule: Mixed Shifts (Rotation between Days and PMs)

Compensation & Incentives

  • Salary Range: $95,000 – $105,000 annually

  • Exceptional Candidates: Considered up to $108,000–$110,000

  • Sign-On Bonus: Not offered

  • Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis

Position Summary

The ICU Manager is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for a high-acuity Intensive Care Unit. This role oversees daily clinical operations, staffing, and quality initiatives to ensure the delivery of safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care. The Manager promotes accountability, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement while supporting organizational goals related to quality, safety, patient experience, and financial stewardship.

Required Qualifications

Leadership Experience (Recent – within the last year required):

  • Critical Care leadership experience in one of the following roles:

    • Charge RN: 5+ years

    • Supervisor: 3+ years

    • Manager: 2+ years

  • Experience must be within a Critical Care / ICU setting

  • Relief or interim charge experience does not qualify

Education

  • BSN preferred

  • ADN accepted if currently enrolled in a BSN program

Licensure

  • Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license required

Certifications

  • BLS – required upon hire

  • ACLS – required upon hire

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a strong clinical culture through implementation of evidence-based practices

  • Ensure compliance with standards of care, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements

  • Drive initiatives to reduce clinical variation and improve efficiency, outcomes, and cost control

  • Lead efforts to meet or exceed internal benchmarks and external accreditations

  • Oversee equipment maintenance in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards

  • Manage admissions, transfers, and discharge processes to support optimal patient throughput

  • Facilitate effective interdisciplinary collaboration across departments

  • Assign staff based on competency, licensure, and patient acuity

  • Monitor and evaluate nursing practice, workflow, and unit performance

  • Lead initiatives to enhance patient experience and staff engagement

  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and productivity to align with patient care needs

  • Oversee operating expenses, supplies, and equipment; identify cost-saving opportunities
