We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to provide clinical leadership and operational oversight for nursing services within a healthcare facility. The DON will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, staff leadership, and effective coordination of nursing operations.
Provide overall leadership, direction, and supervision of the nursing department
Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality patient care in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards
Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies, procedures, and clinical protocols
Oversee staffing, scheduling, performance management, and professional development of nursing staff
Monitor clinical outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary leadership teams to support organizational goals
Participate in audits, surveys, and inspections and lead corrective action plans as needed
Manage nursing department operations, including resource utilization and documentation standards
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
Prior experience in a Director of Nursing or senior nursing leadership role
Strong knowledge of long-term care, skilled nursing, or healthcare facility operations
Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Experience with regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and staff management
Day shift assignment
Guaranteed 40 hours per week
Short-term leadership contract with potential for extension
