ICU Step Down (Med/Surg SD) RN – Days
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Days (3x12) | 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM | 34.5 Hours/Week
Pay: $2,415/Week
Job Summary:
We are hiring experienced RNs for the ICU Step Down unit to support patients transitioning from the ICU. Patient ratio is 1:4, caring for adults and geriatric patients with complex medical needs.
Responsibilities:
Monitor high-acuity patients with equipment such as catheters, feeding tubes, tracheostomies, ventilators, and cardiac monitors.
Conduct frequent patient assessments and escalate care when needed.
Respond to emergencies, including cardiac arrests and rapid response situations.
Perform IV insertions, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
Requirements:
Experience: 2+ years in Med/Surg Step Down units or ICU
Skills: IV insertion, phlebotomy, conscious sedation (2+ years)
Education: ASN/ADN required; BSN preferred
Licensure: Active NY RN License
Certifications: BLS & ACLS
