Licensed Practical Nurse – Travel Assignment

Type: Travel / Contract

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Travel LPN to deliver nursing support across diverse healthcare settings throughout New Mexico. Assignments may include SNF, LTC, acute-care units, rehab centers, and primary care or specialty clinics. Ideal candidates show adaptability, clinical competence, and strong patient advocacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and skilled nursing care under RN/physician supervision
• Record and update vital signs, assessments, and patient progress
• Administer approved medications and therapeutic treatments
• Support wound care protocols and specimen collection
• Assist patients with ADLs, mobility, and general comfort
• Document all care activities within EMR systems accurately
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams and families
• Follow regulatory and facility-specific safety practices
• Travel statewide in response to facility staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Valid NM LPN license (or able to obtain before start)
• At least 1 year of recent LPN experience in relevant clinical settings
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Comfort using EMR platforms and adapting quickly to new systems
• Strong communication, accountability, and clinical reasoning skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior travel or float pool background
• Experience working in multiple care environments
• Ability to work independently and manage rotating assignments
• Spanish language skills beneficial
