Job Title: Laboratory Supervisor
Schedule: Full-Time – Days (Rotating Weekends)
Compensation: $32.62–$48.93 per hour (DOE)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Laboratory Supervisor for an exciting Travel or Local job in Bradenton, FL.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Science or Medical Technology required; Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology preferred.
  • Active Florida Supervisor’s License required.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Medical Technologist.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Licensure in three technical specialties preferred.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication abilities.
  • Proven skill in workflow oversight, quality management, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise both technical and non-technical lab staff, assigning personnel to appropriate areas and shifts to maintain adequate coverage.
  • Manage workflows, service levels, productivity measures, and regulatory compliance within designated laboratory sections.
  • Support operations across testing disciplines, specimen collection, processing, and referral testing.
  • Develop and maintain systems for collecting, documenting, and reporting quality assessment and improvement data.
  • Implement corrective action plans based on QA/QI findings and monitor performance for sustained improvement.
  • Oversee resource utilization—including labor, supplies, and operational costs—and contribute to operational reviews.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance development to enhance staff engagement and professional growth.
  • Participate in hiring activities, including interviewing and selecting qualified candidates.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, CLIA regulations, state licensure requirements, and accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement and optimize laboratory operations.
