Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Location: Lexington, NE 68850
Duration: 4 Weeks


Position Summary

A Certified Medical Assistant is needed to support both front and back office operations in a clinic environment. This role involves patient-facing care, administrative support, and clinical tasks including vitals, phlebotomy, vaccinations, and scheduling. Success in this position requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with clinic staff.


Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and room patients while ensuring a positive patient experience

  • Assist with scheduling, answering phones, and general front-desk workflow

  • Obtain and document vital signs and patient information

  • Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and administer vaccines

  • Conduct EKGs and perform point-of-care (POC) testing

  • Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies

  • Provide general back-office clinical support as needed

  • Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for documentation and workflow

  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with clinical staff

  • Adhere to clinical, safety, and regulatory standards


Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (externship not included)

  • Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred

  • Occupational Health experience strongly preferred

  • Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required

  • EMR experience required

  • Bilingual candidates preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent patient communication skills

  • Solid computer and multitasking abilities
