Job Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to provide operational and clinical leadership for a Behavioral Health Nursing Department within a growing acute care facility. This role oversees daily unit operations through effective utilization of staff, including Charge Nurses and House Supervisors. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, behavioral health expertise, and the ability to foster a culture of safety, accountability, and compassionate patient care. The Nurse Manager plays a critical role in ensuring unit efficiency, staff engagement, regulatory compliance, and high-quality behavioral health outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily operations of the Behavioral Health Nursing Department, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.

  • Coordinate and direct activities of Charge Nurses and House Supervisors to maintain staffing continuity and optimal patient flow.

  • Support staff development, performance management, competency assessment, and ongoing training.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and evidence-based behavioral health practices.

  • Promote a culture of collaboration, clinical excellence, and trauma-informed care.

  • Monitor patient care standards, safety measures, and quality outcomes, implementing corrective actions as needed.

  • Participate in strategic planning, resource allocation, and workflow optimization to meet departmental goals.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient experience and operational performance.

  • Serve as a role model for professional practice and uphold organizational values and care standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience as a Nurse Manager, Supervisor, or Clinical Team Lead in an acute care Behavioral Health unit.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification required

  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills with the ability to manage complex behavioral health operations.
