Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Location: Maryville, TN 37804
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM


Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join an Adult Outpatient and Internal Medicine clinical team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in private physician office settings and adult outpatient facilities, along with strong clinical and administrative capabilities. This role supports high-quality patient care by assisting providers, coordinating patient flow, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient care, examinations, and procedures.

  • Collect and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant health information.

  • Prepare exam rooms and ensure equipment and supplies are properly stocked and sanitized.

  • Perform clinical tasks in accordance with CMA certification and clinic protocols.

  • Support patient scheduling, check-in processes, and general front-office workflow as needed.

  • Utilize EPIC EMR for data entry, record updates, and care coordination.

  • Provide clinical support to Internal Medicine and General Medicine providers in an adult outpatient setting.

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.

  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and patient confidentiality guidelines.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience

  • Active CMA certification

  • Active BLS certification

  • Experience in an Adult Outpatient Facility

  • Experience in a Private Physician’s Office

  • Clinical experience in General Medicine and Internal Medicine


Preferred Skills (Optional)

  • Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
