The CNA – Long-Term Care role involves delivering direct patient care and support to residents in a long-term care environment. This position focuses on meeting daily care needs, ensuring safety, maintaining dignity, and supporting overall resident well-being.
Provide hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
Assist with resident mobility, including safe transfers, ambulation, repositioning, and fall prevention measures.
Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes in resident condition to licensed nursing staff promptly.
Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment, following infection control and PPE protocols at all times.
Support residents with meal setup, hydration, and nutritional needs according to care plans.
Accurately document care, observations, and interactions in electronic medical records or facility charting tools.
Provide emotional support, companionship, and reassurance to residents, promoting a respectful and compassionate atmosphere.
