Position Title: Operating Room Technician (OR Tech)
Location: Cooperstown, NY 13326
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day (3×12-hour shifts, 07:00 AM – 07:00 PM)
Pay Range: $45–$50 hourly
Position Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Operating Room Technician for an exciting job in Cooperstown, NY.
Responsibilities:
Perform scrubbing duties for a variety of surgical procedures according to established standards.
Prepare, organize, and maintain sterile instrument tables and surgical equipment.
Handle surgical instruments, supplies, media, specimens, and instrument trays with accuracy.
Collaborate closely with surgeons, RNs, anesthesiologists, and CRNAs throughout procedures.
Assist with setup, breakdown, and cleaning of operating rooms before and after procedures.
Ensure proper functioning and availability of surgical instruments and equipment.
Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.
Participate in on-call rotations as required.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an OR Tech or Surgical Technologist preferred.
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program (if required by state/facility).
Knowledge of aseptic techniques, surgical instruments, and procedures.
Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond effectively.
Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
