Position Title: Travel RN – OB / LDRP (Labor and Delivery)
Location: Cooperstown, NY 13326
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day
Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts or single shift
Travel Pay Range: $67–$72/hour

Position Summary:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Travel RN – OB / LDRP (Labor and Delivery) for an exciting job in Cooperstown, NY.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.

  • Monitor maternal and fetal status using intermediate fetal monitoring techniques.

  • Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, neonatologists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure patient safety.

  • Assist with Cesarean births in the operating room as part of the designated team.

  • Provide care for newborns, including those in the special care nursery.

  • Educate patients and families on childbirth, postpartum care, newborn care, and discharge instructions.

  • Accurately document all patient care according to facility standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies and escalate appropriately.

  • Support staff, particularly new graduates, and adapt to fluctuating unit volumes.

  • Work scheduled shifts, including required holiday rotations.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Preferred: 3+ years of obstetric nursing experience.

  • Considered: Candidates with less than 3 years of experience who have prior travel experience or specialized OB background.

Certifications (Required):

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in LDRP nursing, including labor support, postpartum care, and newborn assessments.

  • Ability to work independently in a mixed-experience unit environment.

  • Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills.

  • Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
