The Director of Nursing (DON) oversees all clinical operations within the facility, ensuring high standards of resident care, regulatory compliance, and effective leadership of the nursing team. This role provides strategic direction to nursing services, supports staff development, and collaborates with facility leadership to maintain quality outcomes.
Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality resident care.
Provide leadership, supervision, and support to nursing staff across all shifts.
Maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and best practices.
Conduct audits, inspections, and performance evaluations to ensure quality standards.
Coordinate care plans and interdisciplinary team communication.
Monitor staffing levels, schedule coverage, and manage workforce needs.
Support training, orientation, and ongoing development of clinical staff.
Respond to resident and family concerns professionally and promptly.
Collaborate with leadership to improve clinical outcomes and operational efficiency.
