Job Title: Donor Care Specialist
Location: Hyannis, MA
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 40 hours/week, rotating days

  • Shifts: 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM, or 11:00 AM–7:00 PM

  • Occasional weekends and holidays

  • Pay Rate: $30–$34 per hour

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Donor Care Specialist for an exciting job in Hyannis, MA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service in accordance with hospital standards.

  • Conduct donor eligibility screening per CCHC, CDC, FDA, AABB, and CAP guidelines.

  • Perform whole blood collections and therapeutic phlebotomy procedures.

  • Support off-site blood drives and donor center collections.

  • Label and prepare blood components and samples for testing.

  • Accurately complete donor documentation and data entry, including deferrals.

  • Assist with donor recruitment activities.

  • Maintain supply inventory and communicate replenishment needs.

  • Collect required blood specimens from donors and patients.

  • Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized work areas.

  • Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

  • Provide exceptional service to patients, families, visitors, and staff.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Donor Care Specialist I

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Prior phlebotomy experience required.

  • National certification or completion of accredited phlebotomy program preferred.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.

  • Proficient in computer/laptop use.

Donor Care Specialist II

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • One year of donor phlebotomy experience preferred.

  • Current DPT (ASCP) or QDP (ASCP) certification required.

  • Working knowledge of blood groups, Rh types, and donation procedures.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required and must be maintained.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

  • Proficient in computer/laptop use.
