Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Physical Therapist (PT) for a 9-week onsite assignment within an Occupational Health & Wellness environment. The PT will support employee health by delivering preventative physical therapy services focused on ergonomics, work-related injury reduction, functional improvement, and overall wellness.

This role requires strong orthopedic and manual therapy capabilities, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team that includes clinical and administrative staff.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage movement dysfunction to enhance physical and functional abilities.

  • Restore, maintain, and promote optimal physical function and overall quality of life.

  • Prevent the onset and progression of impairments, limitations, or disabilities related to occupational injuries or conditions.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to employee needs.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including goals, progress, and reevaluations.

  • Provide preventative PT services aimed at reducing ergonomic and workplace injury risks.

  • Educate employees on stretching, strengthening, ergonomics, and injury prevention strategies.

  • Collaborate with clinical team members to support continuity of care, safe work practices, and wellness initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with facility protocols and regulatory documentation standards.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of outpatient or general orthopedic PT experience.

  • Active New York State Physical Therapist License.

  • Strong skills in assessment, documentation, communication, and patient education.

  • Ability to work effectively within an Occupational Health environment.

Preferred:

  • Manual therapy training and advanced orthopedic skills.

  • Experience in occupational health, wellness, or injury-prevention programs.

  • Interest in ergonomics and preventative physical therapy.
