RN – ICU Stepdown (Full Time – Days or Nights, Rotating Weekends)
Location: Sanford, FL
Overview:
Join a high-acuity 15-bed ICU Stepdown unit specializing in the management of drips, long-term ventilators, and clinically complex patients. Work in a collaborative environment that values critical thinking, autonomy, and strong interdisciplinary communication. Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 3:1 (occasionally 4:1 based on acuity).
Role: Registered Nurse – ICU Stepdown
Schedule: Full-Time (Days or Nights) • Rotating Weekends
Salary: $31.86–$46.28 per hour (DOE)
Shift Differentials: $4.50 Nights | $1.50 Weekends
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 (Days) or $20,000 (Nights) – Available through December 2025
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and advocate for patient needs within an interdisciplinary care team.
Utilize clinical judgment to plan and deliver safe, effective care in a fast-paced stepdown environment.
Monitor critical vital signs, titrate drips, and provide rapid intervention in emergent situations.
Educate patients and families regarding medications, procedures, and ongoing treatment plans.
Active Florida RN license or Compact RN license (must obtain Florida license within 60 days of relocation, if applicable).
1+ year recent ICU Stepdown experience required.
Candidates with 3+ years recent experience in Cardiac or Multisystem PCU may also be considered.
Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (Diploma or Associate Degree required; BSN preferred).
BLS required within 30 days of start.
NIHSS required within 30 days.
AHA ACLS required within 6 months of start.
