Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room
Location: Denver, CO
Schedule: Full-Time Days (Rotating Weekends)
Shifts: 6:45AM–5PM, 7AM–7PM, 9AM–9PM, or 11AM–11PM
On-Call: 10–12 shifts per 8-week period (must reside within 30 minutes)
Compensation: $36.50–$55.25/hour (DOE) + $4.00 on-call differential
Sign-On Bonus: $25,000
Relocation Assistance: $5,000 (for candidates relocating >75 miles)

Position Summary
The Operating Room RN will function primarily as a Circulator, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered care throughout the perioperative process. Ideal candidates bring strong critical thinking skills, technical expertise, and experience in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preoperative patient assessments, provide education, and prepare patients for surgery (including IV therapy and site verification).

  • Participate in all phases of surgical site verification, including briefings, time-outs, and debriefings.

  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and evolving patient conditions.

  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care, monitor patient status, and maintain accurate documentation.

  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia teams, and surgical technologists in a Level 4 Trauma environment.

Qualifications

  • Active Colorado RN license or multistate compact RN license.

  • AHA BLS required; ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire.

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).

  • Minimum 1 year of perioperative/OR nursing experience (surgery center experience considered).

  • CNOR preferred; resumes must reflect AORN certification or documented OR circulating/scrub training.

  • Strong clinical judgment, technical competency, communication, and leadership skills across specialties including Complex Spine, Neuro, Ortho, Trauma, and Transplant.
