Location: South Riding, VA 20152
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:45 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $40 - $45/hr (Local)
Contract Duration: 24 Weeks

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher (Autism, K–2) to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a structured elementary classroom. The teacher will deliver individualized instruction, implement behavior-support strategies, and support functional skill development aligned with IEP goals. Collaboration with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families is essential.
Provide specialized instruction for students with ASD in a structured classroom setting
Implement IEP-aligned academic and behavioral plans
Utilize evidence-based strategies including ABA-aligned techniques and visual communication supports
Foster communication, academic progress, and social-emotional development
Collaborate with school staff, therapists, and families
Maintain a safe, positive, and consistent learning environment
Complete documentation and participate in IEP meetings
Active Special Education teaching certification (or VA-eligible)
Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Knowledge of structured teaching, sensory supports, and behavior-intervention practices
Strong communication and classroom-management skills
Ability to work onsite Monday–Friday
Experience in early childhood or K–2 special education
Familiarity with behavioral and academic data collection
CPI or behavioral safety training
