Position Title: Travel Respiratory Therapist
Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Job Type: Contract
Shift: Day | 3×12-hour shifts
Travel Pay Range: $60–$65/hour

Position Summary:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a skilled Travel Respiratory Therapist for a contract assignment in Hyannis, MA. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care across critical and acute care settings, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and adherence to departmental protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)

  • Active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapy License

  • Current BLS certification

  • NRP certification required

  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, communication)

  • Minimum of 1 year of critical care experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, manage, and adjust ventilatory support, including weaning and troubleshooting

  • Follow best practices, Therapist-Driven Protocols, and departmental procedures

  • Perform diagnostic procedures: ABG draws, sputum collection, capnography, and bedside spirometry

  • Interpret arterial blood gas results and monitor respiratory status during transports

  • Attend Codes and Rapid Response Team calls

  • Assist with conscious sedation procedures, intubations, and bronchoscopy support

  • Administer therapeutic gases and airway-clearance therapies

  • Provide respiratory support for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients

  • Maintain and assess tracheostomy and laryngectomy tubes; perform suctioning and assist with tube changes

  • Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot non-invasive ventilation

  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and provide clinical expertise

  • Ensure accurate EMR documentation and daily charge reconciliation

  • Precept, train, and orient students and staff as needed

  • Maintain respiratory equipment and supplies; ensure adequate stocking

  • Attend educational programs for professional development

  • Deliver patient-centered care with professionalism and compassion

  • Perform additional duties as assigned
