Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Type: Contract
Shift: Nights | 3×12.5-hour shifts
Travel Pay Range: $65–$70 per hour

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse for an exciting job in Hyannis, MA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, effective emergency nursing care with timely and accurate documentation.

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments throughout the encounter, addressing physical, psychological, social, and discharge planning needs.

  • Develop and communicate individualized plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

  • Serve as charge nurse when assigned and demonstrate leadership in patient flow and team coordination.

  • Maintain proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) and nursing informatics systems.

  • Act as a clinical resource for patient care, staff orientation, and education.

  • Participate in required training, unit meetings, and ongoing professional development.

  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, including tracking key performance indicators and supporting process enhancements.

  • Adhere to infection control practices, safety guidelines, and proper handling of blood and body fluids.

  • Maintain competency in care for all age groups served and uphold documentation and certification requirements.

  • Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and a commitment to service excellence for patients, families, and colleagues.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

  • Minimum of 2 years recent Emergency Room RN experience.

  • 1 year of previous ER travel experience required.

  • Active Massachusetts RN license.

  • BLS and ACLS required and must be maintained.

  • Successful completion of facility-required pharmacology and arrhythmia exams.

  • Strong competency in:

    • IV administration and IV starts

    • Ventilator management

    • Telemetry monitoring

  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.

Preferred Certifications

  • De-escalation certification (approved course)

  • TNCC

  • ENPC

  • PALS
